Copyright and content
Last updated 6 October 2026
kin is about faces, so it is also about respect: for your rights, other people’s likeness, and the work of others.
What you own
Your portraits remain yours. The images kin creates for you are yours to use, personally or commercially, within the law. In some countries, works made entirely by AI may not be protected by copyright; that does not limit your right to use them, but it may limit your ability to stop others from copying them.
What kin owns
The kin app, its design, its dial, its sounds, its website and its name are owned by Domenico Amalfitano. Please do not copy them.
Likeness and consent
- Use portraits of yourself, or of people who have agreed.
- Do not use kin to mock, sexualise, harass or deceive anyone, or to create images presented as real historical or family records.
- Do not use portraits of public figures to create content that implies their endorsement or misrepresents them.
AI-generated images
Every result is generated by artificial intelligence. When you share a result, please do not present it as a real photograph or a real ancestor.
Reporting a problem
If you believe content created with kin infringes your copyright or uses your likeness without permission, write to support@kinaiapp.xyz with:
- your name and how to reach you;
- what the content is and where you found it;
- the right you believe is affected, and why;
- a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
We review every report and, where appropriate, remove content and suspend accounts that repeatedly break these rules.
