What does the free trial include?
Three days and up to three portraits. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, kin Pro starts on the plan you chose.
How do I cancel?
On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then kin. You can also tap Manage subscription in kin’s Account screen. You keep kin Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
How do I get a refund?
Payments go through Apple. Ask for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I changed iPhone and kin asks me to subscribe.
Sign in with the same Apple account, then tap Restore purchases in Account.
Why is there a monthly limit?
Each portrait is generated by powerful AI models and costs real money to make. Forty portraits every 30 days keeps kin Pro affordable for everyone.
Using kin
Which way does the gear turn?
Clockwise winds back in time, anticlockwise goes forward. You can reverse it in Account, Settings.
How far can I travel?
From 10,000 BC to the year 10,000. Near today the gear clicks every five years; further out it moves by centuries and millennia.
Why does the same portrait give different results?
Each journey is generated fresh, so every ancestor or descendant is a new interpretation.
A journey failed.
It does not count against your portraits. Check your connection and try again; if it keeps failing, write to us.
Notifications
kin can tell you when a portrait arrives, even if the app is closed. Turn this on or off in Account, Settings. If nothing arrives, check that notifications for kin are allowed in your iPhone’s Settings.

How do I delete a journey?
In your record, touch and hold a portrait, then choose Delete.
How do I delete my account?
Open Account and choose Delete account and record. Everything stored with your account is permanently removed. Read the privacy policy for details.
